Sam is doing really good, we have been able to get a couple of e-mails from him, and the letters are coming as well. In a letter he sent to Sarah (one of his sisters) he said that the best thing he can say in Portuguese so far is

muito (moo-ee-too) legal (lay-gow)

translation: very cool

Excerpt from his e-mail today:

If you are reading this and haven't sent me a letter yet I say unto you
Repent! I need at least one letter a day to feel like I am
worth something due to the fact that a certain elder in my district
recieves multiple packages and multiple letters per day.

It is really easy to send letters through the websites in the last post.
But, if you do, and you want a response, you need to put
your address in the body of the letter.

MTC Address

We are not sure how long Sam will be at the MTC in Provo. He was supposed to go straight to Brazil to the MTC in Sao Paulo, but they had problems with visas so he had to go to the Provo MTC a week earlier. His current address is:

Samuel Nielsen

MTC mailbox #197 BRA-SPS 0126
2005 North 900 East
Provo Utah
84604-1793

While he is in the MTC you can send letters via dearelder.com or mtcdelivery.com They will print your typed message and deliver it to him all for free. If you live in Utah, there are also several shipping stores that will deliver packages for free as well. The UPS store in Pleasant Grove offers free delivery on Fridays. Most places especially in Provo-Orem will offer similar deals.

Watch for address updates, photos, and news!
